Making sense of midlife, one question at a time.
01 / HONESTY
The conversation around midlife is, for the most part, a difficult one to be around. It's framed almost universally as something to fight, fix or fear, a long list of things going wrong with our bodies, our hormones, our faces, our relevance.
The wellness industry has built an entire economy around that fear, and most of it isn't serving us particularly well.
MIDLIFE exists to offer something different.
No quick fixes, no miracle cures, no before and after framing, nothing to sell you. Just carefully researched, plainly written answers to the questions you're already asking, because you deserve honest information, not a sales pitch dressed up as advice.
02 / CURIOSITY
Every edition starts with a question. One that women over 40 are quietly asking about their bodies, their health, their sense of self.
We research it properly, the studies, the expert voices, the emerging science and share what we've learned in plain language, without the noise.
We believe the best thing any woman can do for her health is become genuinely curious about it. To ask questions, seek real information, and advocate for herself rather than following advice blindly. MIDLIFE exists to make that easier.
03 / AUTHENTICITY
We start from the position that our bodies are extraordinary, that ageing is natural rather than a problem to be solved, and that perimenopause is a transition rather than a malfunction.
How we choose to move through midlife is something we have far more agency over than we're often led to believe and that's a more interesting conversation than the one we're usually handed.
Authenticity means being comfortable with nuance. Not every symptom needs a supplement, not every challenge has a solution and not every expert agrees. MIDLIFE exists to explore the questions honestly, without the hype, fear or certainty that so often surrounds conversations about ageing.
FOUNDER’S NOTE
I started MIDLIFE because in my forties I found myself with more questions than answers - about sleep, strength, confidence, purpose and ageing.
The conversation, I found, was full of fear, fixes and things to buy.
MIDLIFE is my attempt to create something different.
